To make sure your choice is safe, check the IP parameters of the LED strip. The higher this value is, the better the resistance of the LED strip to moisture. LED strips with IP20, IP65 and IP65 heat-shrinkable tubing parameters are waterproof and can withstand changing weather conditions well. This is due to the additional gel layer that protects the internal electronics. A higher IP value means higher water resistance, so IP20 LED strips are suitable for the bathroom, but not for the garden. Shrink tube type flexible strips have a slightly thinner gel layer, but they retain heat well and last longer than standard LED strips.
